Junior Mints via xSparkage

This is a copied look of my version of xSparkage's Junior Mints inspired tutorial.  Tutorials are available on Youtube and are one of the quickest and easiest ways to learn how to do makeup better, and for inspiration.  xsparkage is my favorite to watch!  Side note, I'm using a new Mascara that is cheap and I actually love it.  It is Wet N Wild's Mega Wink Mascara.  I costs $3, but I was able to find it marked down 50%.  If you find it, pick it up!

Gorgeous Greens!

I exclusively used the 120 palette for the eyeshadow on this look to give you all another idea of it.  It is so versatile, and although you can't tell by most of what I do, it does come with a couple rows of neutral colors as well  :)

120 Palette, Finally!

After two months of waiting for some palettes from China, and being reimbursed by the sellers, I finally broke down and order the one I wanted most from a US seller for a little more money (although still really cheap).  Seriously though, this palette is absolutely incredible!  It is bright and gorgeous.  I use a few different palettes and I wanted everyone to have an idea of what they are and how to get hold of them, rather than just reading the name in my products used and wondering what it is.  And now, my eyes will be more colorful than I have ever been able to make them!!  :)  This specific palette can, obviously, be found on eBay.  Search for 120 palette.  There are a couple different ones and this one is a little more because it was the second one released.  However, if you prefer to order from a non-eBay sight, this and many other palettes like it, can be found at www.coastalscents.com or www.bhcosmetics.com

Slightly Calmer Shades

I experimented with slightly more neutral colors of the NYX pigments today (thanks Jeni!).  I decided to go with browns as opposed to my normal color pops.  It still amazes me how well these pigments blend!  However, if you're working with pigments (or a lot of shadow in general) fallout can be a major issue.  This is when the eyeshadow drops down onto your skin under your eye.  I usually use a brush or q-tip to get this off.  Today I did not have a q-tip handy so I picked up one of my sponges.  This is the must use tool for fallout!  Because it has a little grab to it, it actually pulls the shadow off the skin instead of having to scrub or wipe.  So much easier!!

Red Eyeshadow

Thank you Halloween!  True red eyeshadow is very hard to find.  There are a couple select brands that have one, but they run at a minimum of $20.  Needless to say, I was more than thrilled when our Wet N Wild Halloween makeup arrived yesterday at work and there was a true red shadow in the mix!  Is it good eyeshadow?  Not really.  But it will suffice for now.

Contest Update

Well, this contest does not seem to be going all that well for me.  It will definitely be extended, since not a single comment has been left on the contest entry.  Due to the extension, I will give the prizes to the first person who gets three followers!  Hopefully this will make it a little bit easier for everyone.  Simply have them leave a comment on this entry of who invited them.  Today's look turned a little more camo-esque than I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it :)

False Lashes

False lashes can be a blast to wear!  There are so many different kinds out there to choose from, ranging from completely natural to over the top costume.  The ones I chose for today were a little more on the costume side, but still calm enough that they can be worn as part of a day look so long as you realize people will know you have them on.  I tried going through a few different kinds of cheaper brand lashes.  My advice, don't waste the money trying to find cheap ones that work well, and skip straight to the common well known brands.  It will save a lot of hassle in the end.  These ones are Ardell, which is sold in some drugstores and at Sally's.  If you watch for a good deal, you can actually get them as cheap as a couple bucks a pair.  Don't skimp on the glue either!  Use either DUO or LashGrip.  When using these decent products together, the lashes go on in just a few seconds with practically no effort to get them on.  And if you take good care of them, they're reusable!
